Dream High and Succeed even Higher!

Dream High and Succeed even Higher is my mantra that guides my steps, decisions, actions, and approach in the journey through life.

It has helped me over the years to remember that no matter what I face, I never dream low or settle for mediocre achievements. But aim higher to be somebody who has something to say and who is heard.

Hi! I am Diana O. Debreczeni, founder of the DARE & BE platform.

When I think about my life so far, I like to say that I am a beautiful story, with all my mistakes, fears, disappointments, and failures, but also with all the dreams, experiences, achievements, interests, and curiosity in continuing to learn, develop, and succeed.

Let me share my story with you…

Dream High and Succeed Even Higher

EVERYTHING HAS AN ORIGIN AND A BEGINNING…

I was born in 1980 in a small town in Romania, where the prime issue has always been the social and financial crisis.

I had an enjoyable childhood, born into a middle-class family with an average financial situation. Despite all the limitations, my parents did their best to provide me and my brother with all the necessities and education we needed. For which I am deeply grateful!

After I finished high school, I was accepted to the Management University. During university studies, my first child, Sebastian-Antonio, was born.

My husband and I were together for a few years and married for two. Unfortunately, fate was not on our side, and the fact that we were young and inexperienced led us to our separation just a few months after the birth of my son.

I woke up a single mother at twenty-one years old, with fear in my soul but determined to raise and educate my child.

I had different jobs in different fields: waitress, courier, model, aerobic instructor, real estate agent, and insurance agent in a German company where, after almost two years, I reached Manager Status.

In all those years, my life has been a puzzle, in which I tried with every experience, failure, struggle, goal, and opportunity to stick one more piece in the picture of my life to succeed.

But I was always grateful for everything I had I did not have had, and I realized. I promised myself that I would not give up. It was not just a fight for me but also for my son.

A QUITTER NEVER WINS, A WINNER NEVER QUITS!

I have always considered myself a unique, visionary, open-minded, and strong person with no limiting beliefs who takes action despite all rigid and conditional aspects of my life.

All the experiences shaped my character and gave more value to my skills and knowledge, becoming a professional in everything I did. But my status as a parent was declining.

I worked more and more hours, and I was spending less time with my son. He was growing, and I was losing essential moments with him.

I had become a slave to the system, sacrificing my life, family, and happiness to make others rich.

All day long working, 12-14 hours, chasing clients, cold calls, late meetings… I was physically and mentally exhausted.

The money was never enough. The bills were rising, and my health was getting worse.

I never felt that my place was in my country, and I did not consider that it could offer me the opportunities to achieve my goals.

Being passionate about foreign languages was an asset to me. That is why I experimented for a period of working abroad in Italy (Sardegna), Spain (Lloret Del Mar), and other countries where I made a good income, but unfortunately, it was only seasonal.

I returned to my country, where I opened my insurance broker agency. It worked well for a while, but I had already caught the taste of foreigners.

I could see the opportunities I could have financially and professionally.

So, in 2013, I decided to try my luck again by returning to Spain, this time in the Canary Islands, where I have remained until now.

For a while, I worked in luxury oriental restaurants. Being also passionate about Asian culture, language, beauty, and food, it was a pleasant experience for a while.

The money was good, so they facilitated my family’s help. But with time, the same problem started to reoccur. Working all day long, having no time to spend with my son, and no time for myself.

Because once was not enough, life hit me all over again.

THE LEAP OF CHANGE

In 2016, I found out, following a routine consultation, that my health was getting much worse. This time, the illness was my enemy, my crossroads. I could say it was my Epiphany.

It took me a while to accept and want to fight the illness, and as I saw that life is a game… I decided to play it but on my terms!

I focused on my happiness and that of my son, on my vision, purpose, and goals, to create confidence, financial stability, and more freedom of time.

So far, I only lived to work until I decided I wanted to work to live, to discover and enjoy living with a new purpose, meaning, and intentions.

I quit being employed, and once again, I took my life into my own hands, extending further the limits. This time to a real Success.

I became a Certified Yoga and Pilates Instructor and a Certified Mindfulness and Emotional Intelligence Facilitator.

I improved and controlled my health by changing my lifestyle completely; I have learned to accept and forgive past resentments and live entirely in the present, improving and investing in myself as a person, mother, and professional.

I changed my Mindset, Life, Health, and Wealth.

I have seen that things lead to success if I take the right path, take advantage of opportunities, and act the right way.

More good things started to happen in my life.

Because learning and teaching are twin passions for me, nourishing my growth and inspiring others on their journey, I raised my professional level to another standard by becoming a Certified Life Coach and Certified NLP Master Practitioner.

When I have passion, great things happen to me, for me, and because of me!

By acquiring new skills, I have added other powerful tools to my arsenal, empowering me to expand my horizons and unlock endless professional possibilities.

I became the founder of the DARE & BE platform, blogger, Affiliate Marketer, and Business Consultant with the help of Wealthy Affiliate, which was the foundation for me to create and develop my online business on my terms.

  1. Hi, if there is one thing that is true about the world is that as long as you want something bad enough and are willing to work long enough and hard enough that your success is inevitable.

the  thing is that nothing good in this world doesn’t com without work. So you have to trust yourself that you really want that thing bad enough and believe that you are good enough to make it happen.

The important thing is to enjoy the journey and to always be grateful for your blessings.

What would you say is the important thing for success is?

  2. Hello there, great life story. Looks like your life has been a rollercoaster, however, as you say it, ‘a quitter never wins’ 🙂 and you managed to succeed in life and overcome every obstacle. It is really inspiring to find these stories of self-improvement, sometimes we get overwhelmed with things that happen to us and it is really up to us to change our reality. Thank you very much for sharing this post with us!

    1. Hi Johnny,

Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m glad you found my life story inspiring. Life truly can be a rollercoaster, with its ups and downs, but I firmly believe in the power of perseverance and never giving up. It’s true that we often face overwhelming challenges, but it’s important to remember that we have the ability to shape our own reality and make positive changes in our lives.

Sharing my story was a way for me to encourage others to keep pushing forward and never lose hope. We all have the strength within us to overcome obstacles and achieve our goals. It’s amazing how powerful a little inspiration and determination can be in transforming our lives.

Once again, thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to read my story. I hope it continues to inspire you and others to embrace self-improvement and create a fulfilling life.

  3. Hi Diane. Thank you very much for your article. It gave me the inspiration and motivation I needed. I’ve been struggling for a while to make things work for me and I’ve even gotten to the point where I want to give up. However, your post made me realize that a person who never gives up wins, and especially that perseverance is always rewarded. Thanks for that.

    1. Hi Paolo,

With pleasure. I’m glad you found in my article the motivation to continue. Even if you have the impression that you are not making any progress in achieving your goals, believe me, every small step of progress is also called progress.

Just act. Do it little by little every day and after a while you will see how you formed a ball of actions that led to the achievement of the objectives.

All you need is patience, self-confidence, and perseverance no matter how many obstacles you encounter.

  4. Thank you for your beautiful story. You have certainly grown through adversity. In different circumstances, your travels sound most exciting. I’ve never traveled to Europe but I have a feeling that the issues you faced are similar no matter where you live. The need to work to pay the bills. Then, work 12-14 hours a day to try to get ahead and also keep your job. Next, your health declines because you’re not taking time out to stay healthy. You turned it around in time to enjoy time with your son and live a happy life. You are a true inspiration and deserve every day of happiness.

    1. Thank you Frank for taking the time to read my story, and especially for your kind words of appreciation.

Indeed, I believe that the vast majority of people face similar situations. They work for an employer on a fixed salary, spend more time with co-workers than with family, they have to increase working time to reach the goal set by the company, neglect their health, family and social relationships because they work most of the time , and they have no free time left for them.

Unfortunately, in most cases, we have to face that stroke of grace that wakes us up to reality, and makes us wonder:

What the hell am I doing?

How did I get into this situation?

Is this what I want for myself and my family?

And suddenly you start to see things more clearly, and more easily in setting new goals with a purpose that will give you fulfillment every day.

  5. Hello Diana,

I appreciate how you saw all the obstacles in your life as an opportunity to learn. In general, we do not see them this way when we struggling. I worked in 2 places and the third one follows, but you had a lot of experience. I also do daily gymnastics exercises, to which I add daily running.
Your life is a novel from what I see, with so many departures and experiences abroad, but it seems that you have reached your goal.

    Respectfully,
    Vasile.

    1. Hi Vasile,

Thank you for the kind words of appreciation. Always, when you aim to the stars only the sky is the limit, and this applies directly to me. Indeed, I experienced various jobs that helped me gain skills, knowledge, and were like a guide to becoming aware of what I really want out of life for myself and my son.

I am glad that you maintain a healthy lifestyle, and I hope that your job offers you that fulfillment to which we all aim. Don’t forget, only the sky can be the limit for you, too.

  6. Hi Diana, what an inspiring story you have!

I love your attitude that whatever life throws at us, they are opportunities for us to grow and learn.

I had some jobs that I loved and some that I found tough, but I learnt from all of them! I thought I had quite a variety of different jobs but you’ve had a lot more than I have!

I’m glad you’re now working for yourself at something you love and teaching pilates is such a worthwhile path to take.

I also liked your page on procrastination!

    All the best!

    Julia

    1. Hi Julia,

Thank you for stopping by. In our lives, everything comes down to attitude. Our attitude related to how we perceive life in general, the attitude we have in the face of an unpleasant situation, a confrontation, the attitude of how we look at and treat ourselves and others.

All these are correlated, and depending on the attitude we have, it can help us on our way to achieving our goals, or it can put obstacles and limitations in our path.

The decision to succeed lies in our attitude, and not only.

I also appreciate the time spent reading my article on Procrastination. It is indeed another factor that weighs heavily in our journey to success.

  7. We all have dreams and aspirations that we wish to achieve and with hard work dedication and patience, we can reach for the stars. I’m hoping to be able to give up my day job in 6 months time and concentrate full-time on my blog which is my real passion. You have shown that it is possible to do it if we really want to. Your story is one of inspiration that will encourage many people in their journeys.

    1. Hi Lisa,

I appreciate your kind words. From them I subtract the essence you have: hardworking, dedicated and patient. All this completes a solid foundation on which to build your dream of achievement.

Do not doubt your abilities. You already have them, but you just have to know how to get the best out of them.

  8. Hey,

I am very flattered by the story you are willing to share with us. In many ways, I am also someone who does not give up and who wants to move forward in life. That is why I am always looking for opportunities to earn a second income.

I am currently a member of WealtyAffiliate and working on my website which is still under construction… As an Amazon affiliate, I try to sell all kinds of fishing gadgets.

Unfortunately, I am struggling with my health: Type II diabetic, disabled, and occasionally depressed. However, if I can keep myself busy developing my site, it’s like being on another planet… I love making new posts.

Thank you very much for your story and best of luck in the future!

    With best regards,

  9. This post speaks to me. Thank you for affirming my dreams. I will stop working for someone on 6th December 2021 as I submitted my resignation at the beginning of October 2021. I have worked ever since I was 18 years old and now turning 59 years old, but I have a dream of establishing my own market gardening business. I just hope it is not too late for me to start a new page. Thank you for motivating me, and putting my feet at the right place.

    1. Hi Senanelo,

I really appreciate that you took a few minutes of your time to read my story.

The fact that my story, and my words managed to convey the message of motivation, can only make me happy and train me even more to continue my work plan with this platform.

Thank you for sharing your deepest dream with me and I can only say: go, girl. Your dream is ageless, and the following phrase supports the idea: “Better later than never!”
