I have been in the Affiliate Marketing business for many years. I started my own company to vent my anxiety about losing my job and everything in my life that meant everything to me.

I started a personal blog sharing my own experience with autoimmune diseases. To make the story short, after some time, companies started asking me to promote their products on my blog.
CAN AFFILIATE MARKETING MAKE YOU WEALTHY?
You can answer this question simply by visiting the following bloggers’ websites – Neil Patel, Pat Flynn, John Chow, and Darren Rowse – these bloggers are very well off today simply from starting with affiliate marketing.
Every one of these will admit it is not an easy journey, but if you love what you are doing, you don’t mind the work, and the rewards will come naturally, one day at a time.
AFFILIATE MARKETING BEGINNERS GUIDE
First of all, you want to avoid any quick-get-rich business training programs. I spent more money on these programs than I would ever admit.
WHAT IS A NICHE
The first thing you need to know is what a niche is, and this is a specialty you want to build your business around.
Let’s say you love and know about photography, so a photography niche would choose one specialty, such as photography techniques for advanced photographers.
You then will share photography techniques for advanced photographers, and of course, you need photography equipment, so these will be the products you will use to earn your income.
Tip: Most training programs teach you to build your website first, but trust me, you will save yourself a bunch of work by choosing your business first.
It would be best if you had a name for your business, so I recommend you start thinking about this now.
You will not need to have your business name until you begin building your website, and I always check the business name with a domain name checker to be sure the name is available.
The last thing you want to do is name your business the same as someone else’s, and that is easier to do than you might think with so many online businesses in every niche.
PRODUCT AND SERVICES
Now, you want to take the time to find the companies with the products and services you are going to need to promote to earn an income, so you want to start checking out companies that sell photography products.
Tip: Avoid companies that pay less than 10% commission; you will be doing a lot of work for very little income.
I always look for companies that pay at least 15-20%, but you can start with 10%.
By the way, I want you to understand companies don’t charge you to promote their products, and if any try to force you to buy their products to become affiliates, I would just walk away.
BUSINESS NAME AND DOMAIN NAME
Now, you need to have your business name, and if you used one of the domain name checkers, I suggest you use the same name for your business and your domain name.
You can buy a domain name for less than $20.00 per year, so it is worth buying your domain name for such a small investment. I always go with the extension dot com, but you can also go with others.
A domain name is your business address, so having them the same will help you start seeing traffic quicker than being different from your business name.
Tip: You want your business and domain name to be short and easy for people to remember, and you will have to be typing both of these almost every day, so why not make it easy for you as well?
TIME TO BUILD YOUR WEBSITE
Now, most of you are more likely like I was and can’t afford to pay a website designer, so you must design your website.
That is not entirely true. You do have my mentoring for free to help you along the way if you desire. WordPress.org is the website builder you want to go with if you plan on making this a full-time business one day, so if you are not going to use my mentoring for free, what are your other options?
Wealthy Affiliate is an excellent place to learn to design a WordPress website, and you can start for free with one WordPress website, all of your own.
You can also get good training to get started for free with their beginner’s training course, and I also provide free mentoring to all members of Wealthy Affiliate.

You will find everything all in one place by joining this program, but this is just an option you can consider.
There also is the option to learn from free online courses, and the best place to check first is Udemy. You will find a nice assortment of courses, free and paid; I knew many of my skills were starting out using their free courses, not being able to afford to pay.
HOSTING SERVICES
You will need a website hosting service to have your website seen online. I use Dream Host, which costs me $22.00 per month.
Most hosting companies charge you yearly, but with Dream Host, you can pay monthly, which I do.
You can host for even less by going with a shared hosting service, and you can get this monthly for $4.75 per month from Dream Host.
The other two hosting options I recommend are Blue Host and Site Ground, which are hosting companies that work with WordPress.org, but you can shop around and choose another company besides one of these.
So, if you do the math, you can have your website up and running for less than $50.00 of total investment. Remember, you only pay about half of this amount yearly, so this is a realistic way to earn an income online.
Here Comes The Scary Part!
Believe it or not, I was scared when I started writing my blog many years ago. English was my worst subject, so my confidence level to do this was extremely low.
Now comes the good part: you need not worry about being a terrible speller and knowing nothing about proper grammar. There are tools especially made for writers, and I use Grammarly. This is free, so you will not need to pay for anything.
I have a system for you to rank on search engines like Google so people can find your blog, and again, my mentoring is free. Just mention Dare & Be’s platform when you contact me.
SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING
I provide you with the strategies to get followers on all the social media marketing pages so you will not have to struggle as I did, and many bloggers are just starting.
Social Media Pages: Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Pinterest, Instagram Optional. These are the ones I suggest you open business accounts with to get started, and you can do this for free as well.
